• Delaware’s 2026 Primary Election is Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
• The deadline to register to vote if you are not yet registered and want to vote in the Primary Election is Saturday, August 22, 2026.
• Early Voting is tentatively scheduled for:
  • September 2, 2026 – September 5, 2026, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Labor Day Holiday – No Early Voting September 6^th and 7^th
  • September 8, 2026, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • September 9, 2026 – September 13, 2026, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Polling Places are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Primary Election Day, September 15, 2026.

To vote on Election Day, you need:

• Photo ID is not required to vote in Delaware.
• When arriving at a polling place, a poll worker will ask you for proof of identity. 

  Examples of acceptable IDs:

  Delaware Driver’s License
  Delaware Identification Card
  U.S. Passport
  Signed Polling Place card
  Signed Social Security card
  Signed vehicle registration
  Signed credit card with photo
  If you are unable to or decline to provide proof of identity and your name appears on the poll list for your Election District, you may complete an Affidavit of Voter Identity, and you will be permitted to vote.

• Voters who are concerned about a perceived threat to their safety should call 911; voters who are concerned about any other problem can contact the Department of Elections’ voter hotline at (302) 739-4277.

• Delaware’s 2026 General Election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
• General Election Early Voting Dates & Times:
  • October 22, 2026 – October 24, 2026, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • October 25, 2026 – NO EARLY VOTING
  • October 26, 2026 – October 27, 2026, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • October 28, 2026 – November 1, 2026, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Polling Places are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on General Election Day, November 3, 2026.

On Election Day you must vote at your assigned polling place. Some polling locations may change; make sure to check your polling location before heading to the polls on November 3!
